Case Study

Guildhall

Located near the site of Dolly’s, the world’s first steakhouse – Hawksmoor Guildhall is a 250-cover restaurant and bar with a private dining room that honours London’s most exceptional steak. Our goal was to pay homage to the area’s financial heritage and create an authentic sense of dining within an institutional London setting. The interior is rich with reclaimed materials, including solid mahogany panelling from the Natural History Museum’s specimen cabinets, teak flooring from the 1920s University of the Arts building, and a decorative ceiling inspired by Oxford University and historic London townhouses. Wallpaper from the Titanic’s luxury cabins and bronze 1930s fan lights add a touch of elegance and sophistication.
