Client: Hawksmoor

In a Grade II* listed building and home to Manchester’s former High Court Registry Office, we were challenged with creating a luxurious 130-seater restaurant and cocktail bar worthy of the Hawksmoor name. Retaining the original ceiling and glazed roof lights of the late Victorian building, we installed reclaimed oak wall panelling, parquet flooring and turn-of-the-19th century panelled doors – a nod to Hawksmoor’s London establishments.

We created additional warmth through vintage holophane glass pendant lighting and bespoke brass table lamps on a gleaming brass bar servery. The imposing arched kitchen pass, designed with reclaimed glazed bricks and stippolyte glazing, provides an impressive focal point for diners to enjoy from Hawksmoor’s iconic peacock blue-green banquette seating.
